CAREER SKILLS
Using the Occupational Outlook Handbook students researched careers and discovered the education and skills required to enter a specific field. Using this information and additional research, they created a website based on merit badge requirements for their field of interest (Video Game Design, Medicine, Music, Cooking, and Horsemanship). Students also watched videos of local professionals discussing their career paths on the Youth Advisory Council website.

COMPUTER BASICS
Students refreshed their understanding of operating systems, applications, and parts of the computer. Students were tested on their computer knowledge using online quizzes and retook the quiz until they achieved 100% accuracy. Students also learned how to avoid cyberbullying and the dangers of posting inappropriate information online, using discussions and activities found on the NetSmartz Teens website.
