FINANCIAL LITERACY
Students calculated a budget using the median pay scale of their dream career. Additionally, using computer simulations students practiced using an Automated Teller Machine, receiving cash back from a bank teller, interpreting bills, using a debit card, using a vending machine, selecting stamps to mail packages, checking receipts, counting change, depositing a check, and interpreting basic tax forms (W2, 1099-MISC, 1099-INT, and 1098). Students also practiced filling out a timesheet, searching for jobs using the classified section of a newspaper, and filling out an online job application.
